South African Airways (SAA) is pleased to announce the relaunch of services from 04 March 2022 to the beautiful city of Durban.
Since our restart in August 2021, we have been constantly evaluating our route performance and waiting for the data to guide us on timing the Durban relaunch. We are delighted that the time is now right to add this important route back to the SAA network and further support the recovery of South Africa’s business and tourism sectors. Our goal is to match capacity with demand as closely as possible and add new routes only where and when it makes sense.
The addition of this crucial domestic gateway will make it easier for customers from across our growing Africa network to reach Durban on a single SAA ticket and easier for residents to conveniently connect on SAA via our Johannesburg hub to Accra, Harare, Kinshasa, Lagos, Lusaka and Mauritius with ease and confidence. Flights will operate daily between Johannesburg and Durban with the following schedule:
