Air Canada Introduces Digital Identification
This week, we announced the launch of Digital Identification through the Air Canada mobile app, which allows travellers to access multiple touchpoints along their journey without needing to show their boarding pass or government ID. The pilot project is currently underway for select travellers departing from YVR to YWG, and for eligible customers entering the Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Café at YYZ.
If travellers don’t wish to use the new Digital Identification feature, they can board their flight as they currently do according to their zone.
