Strike by ver.di union at German airports on 1 February 2024
The trade union ver.di has announced strikes by security staff at several German airports (Berlin, Bremen, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne/Bonn, Leipzig and Stuttgart) on Thursday, 1 February 2024. Passengers can therefore expect considerable restrictions at security checkpoints.
Munich Airport is currently not affected by the strike notice issued by ver.di. We expect that operations there will be able to continue as planned.
The Lufthansa Group airlines offer travelers departing from Frankfurt extended options to rebook or have their tickets refunded.
