Montreal has been an important part of Porter’s network since 2006 and starting in spring 2024, it’ll be even easier to fly west from Montreal on Porter! The scheduled service will connect with Halifax, Toronto-Pearson, and Toronto-City through Montréal, complementing non-stop western service from Toronto-Pearson and Ottawa to each market.
Additional connections are also available through Porter’s partnership with Air Transat, including regions in North America, Europe and southern destinations.
New daily non-stop flights from Toronto Pearson (YYZ)
We introduced new Embraer E195-E2 jets to our fleet last year, which allowed us to add several new and exciting routes to the Porter network. Beginning in spring 2024, we will be giving our travelers even more options to choose from with new daily non-stop flights from Toronto Pearson to Saskatoon and Quebec City!

Non-stop flights from Halifax (YHZ) to Deer Lake, Newfoundland (YDF)!
Starting June 4, your travelers can fly to Deer Lake on the west coast of Newfoundland where they will experience some East Coast hospitality. They can explore the natural beauty of nearby Gros Morne National Park – one of Canada’s most picturesque and spectacular landscapes, take the scenic route south to Corner Brook and Stephenville or head north to explore North America’s only Viking settlement at the L’anse aux Meadows UNESCO World Heritage site
Ottawa Frequency
We’re increasing service on eight Ottawa routes as a result of incredible demand for our elevated economy experience in the capital
Here’s what’s happening on various routes for spring and summer 2024:
Increasing to two daily flights from one:
- YVR, YEG, YYC, YQM, YFC, BOS
Increasing to three daily flights from two:
- EWR
Increasing seat capacity with the switch from Dash 8s (78 seats) to E195s (132 seats):
- YHZ
Halifax increased capacity
Service between St. John’s (YYT), Montréal (YUL) and Ottawa (YOW) to Halifax (YHZ) will soon shift from the current Dash 8-400 aircraft to Porter’s new all-economy 132 seat Embraer E195-E2 increasing capacity for these routes.
Passengers will continue to enjoy the elevated Porter service they are familiar with, like free beer and wine served in real glassware and free premium snacks. Embraer E195-E2 flights also include free, fast streaming WiFi and in-flight entertainment options.
The new service starts March 31, 2024.
The Halifax-Ottawa route will have three daily, roundtrip flights. St. John’s and Montréal will operate with two daily round trips, increasing to three daily in May.
Florida Route Updates
Porter switches to its summer program which will see a reduction in service to its seasonal Florida destinations, resuming in the fall.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Direct service YOW-FLL ends Apr 29, and resumes Oct 27.
- YYZ-RSW service ends Apr 29, and resumes Oct 27.
- YYZ-MIA reduced service starts Apr 2 through to service ending Apr 28, and resumes Dec 19.
- YYZ-TPA reduced service starts Apr 8 with service ending May 1, and resumes Oct 27.
Daily service will continue from/via YYZ to FLL and MCO, as well as YOW-MCO through summer. *schedules subject to change.
Porter’s first year in the Florida market was a huge success, and we look forward to your continued support when the program resumes next fall/winter!

POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Commission Policy
To maintain competitiveness, Porter Airlines has recently implemented changes to our commission structure.
Effective February 1, 2024, Navigate and Ultimate Fare families with the PorterReserve experience for Canada Point of Sale will be amended to commission rate of 4%.The eligible commission rate for all other points of sale remains 0%.

IROP Reprotections
During IROP events, passengers whose flights are impacted will receive notifications to their day-of-travel contact (email and/or mobile) or via the Porter App. When a flight has been cancelled due to IROP, Porter highly suggests travel agents (or the passenger) manage their booking using the rebooking tool on flyporter.com. Where the policy permits, options will be provided to choose from available flights if the reprotection is not suitable. Simply access the reservation via My Bookings link, and follow the steps provided. If a new flight is selected, it will update your GDS file in the correct inventory so the travel agent can reissue as detailed in the policy.

Receipts for ancillaries are available on our website
Receipts for baggage, seats, and other ancillary fees charged by Porter directly on a passengers credit card either at the counter or through the call center are available on our website at: www.flyporter.com/manage-flights/my-bookings
Simply enter the confirmation number and last name of the passenger then click on “Payment and Receipt”. You can then view and download the receipt(s).

Schedule Change Policy
In our ongoing efforts to improve processes for travel agents, Porter has recently updated our Schedule Change policy. Porter’s policies, including the Schedule Change policy, offer options for travel agents to self-manage most situations in their GDS without the need to contact Porter. As policies between carriers vary, we encourage travel agents to familiarize themselves with Porter’s IROP and SKED policies in advance so they can quickly and effortlessly attend to disruptions as required.
