Among the many achievements we accomplished this year, here are some highlights:
- BA took its first delivery of SAF, delivering 9980 tonnes of SAF from Phillips 66 in 2022
- We saved 150 tonnes of single-use plastics onboard our aircraft
- We raised over £2 million for UK-based charities
- BA doubles its service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Hong Kong (HKG): from 27 March, we will increase our direct flight frequency from 7 to 14 flights per week for Summer 2023. The additional flight BA32/BA31 will be operated by our state-of-the-art A350-1000 aircraft, which features our latest business class seat – Club Suite.
- BA LHR Terminal 3 experience: Terminal 3 has all the facilities you expect from an international airport. Find an array of dining and shopping outlets, making your airport experience a pleasure.
- BA LHR to LGW short-haul moves (NUE, PSA, VLC): please be advised that a small number of short-haul flights have been transferred from LHR to LGW during MAR/APR 2023. This impacts all Pisa (PSA), Nuremberg (NUE), and Valencia (VLC) services between 29MAR-10APR. Customers who were booked on flights that moved will be automatically transferred, and the flight number will remain the same, however, the flight times may change. - British Airways wins gold at the cellars in the Sky 2022 Awards: BA wins the Gold Award for Best First Class Red wine with Teusner, The Riebke Shiraz 2019 from the Barossa Valley, Australia.
- IB Newsletter March 2023: including the latest news and updates on the A350 New Generation (with link to video), the preorder of menus for groups, NDC, IAG results, 2025 target, air shuttle Mad-Bcn, more flights to Tokyo (BA), and codeshare with Airlink (BA).
- IB Seat Availability by POC: we would like to remind you that the availability of seats on all fights marketed under the Iberia code is determined by the point of commencement of travel (POC). Therefore, the same availability is shown for the same itinerary regardless of the requesting country or point of sale (POS). Please review the important points to consider regarding seat reservations, flight changes, and flights in connection (see the document in the link above).
- IB is increasing frequencies to Tel Aviv with almost 50% more seats: From 27 March, in the summer season, we will offer two daily frequencies between Spain and Tel Aviv on flights operated by Iberia Express.
- As a result, we will offer better connections and reduced waiting times at MAD airport, increase 49% in the number of seats compared to 2022, and improve connectivity to long-haul destinations
- Iberia Express will operate this route with an A321 aircraft, offering a 3-seat business cabin configuration where the middle seat will be kept free
- Business cabin customers in MAD and TVL will enjoy differentiated check-in areas, fast track, access to the VIP lounge, priority boarding, and the usual onboard catering service offered on this route
- Iberia’s Fare Flexibility Policy due to the ATC strike in France: We keep extending the IB Fare Flexibility Policy due to a strike by air traffic controllers and public sector employees in France, from 07MAR23 up to 01APR23. It is affecting many airports in Europe, not only France. Please find attached the policy for flights that continue to operate for ticketed customers (075-060). For customers on cancelled IB flights, standard customer handling guidelines will apply.
